Departure of Danina Kapetanovic from OROT

Ever since we committed ourselves to pursuing the ideals of Care Everywhere throughout CIUSSS West-Central Montreal, we have relied on OROT, our connected health innovation hub, to play a pivotal role in enabling us to become more responsive to the needs of users of health care and social services. OROT has more than met our expectations, becoming a pillar in our strategy of health-related digital innovation.

Danina Kapetanovic, the Head of OROT and our CIUSSS’s Chief Innovation Officer, built the department from the ground up and has been instrumental in its success over the past several years. Therefore, while I am announcing her imminent departure with mixed feelings, I would like to thank her warmly for everything she has accomplished and wish her nothing but the best in her new endeavours.

Naturally, OROT will remain a mainstay of our network’s pace-setting innovation and will continue to be instrumental in developing novel healthcare solutions. Since its inception, OROT has acted as an intermediary to help develop and strengthen bonds between entrepreneurs in the private sector and our CIUSSS’s healthcare professionals, who have extensive experience in their fields.

By bringing these groups together, OROT has functioned as a catalyst to assist private companies in developing digital devices and other solutions that meet the real-world needs that are identified by the CIUSSS’s experts.

OROT has reached this point as a result of Danina’s vision, determination and expertise, and I am confident it will go on to achieve even greater success by building on the solid foundation that she established.

A search is now taking place to fill Danina’s position and I will keep you advised as soon as a replacement has been chosen. Please join me in wishing her well, as she leaves OROT in a position of strength. I look forward to seeing how much more it can accomplish in the years ahead.
