The Integrated Health and Social Services University Network for West-Central Montreal (CIUSSS) is proud to announce that its connected health innovation hub, OROT, is one of six  recipients of a grant from the Réseau d’évaluation et de l’innovation en santé (REIS), which is funded by the Government of Quebec and administered by MEDTEQ+.

Through its Health Plan, which is supported by the Quebec Health Sciences Strategy 2022-2025, the government aims to facilitate the adoption of health innovations and to improve the financing of forward-looking projects in the healthcare sector. In this context, the Réseau d’évaluation et de l’innovation en santé will support the implementation or the strengthening of teams that are dedicated to co‑developing and evaluating innovation in the health and social services network. The REIS represents investments of more than $4.4 million in projects that have a total value of $5.5 million.

“Aligned with government strategies, our connected health innovation hub, OROT, has a broad mission to imagine and guide the way toward a new era of care,” says Dr. Lawrence Rosenberg, the CIUSSS’s President and CEO. “To achieve our goal, we intend to implement innovative technologies and management practices, while establishing new partnerships with the private sector. OROT’s objective is to enhance the experiences of users and to empower them by providing them with information about their care, including the use of cutting-edge digital technology.”

“From its inception in July 2020, OROT has been oriented toward co-developing, validating and integrating digital technology in health care, in order to improve outcomes for users, enhance their access to care, raise their level of satisfaction and reduce costs,״ explains Danina Kapetanovic, the CIUSSS’s Chief Innovation Officer and Head of OROT. “Through REIS, the government’s support will enable us to expand our team, thereby increasing our CIUSSS’s ability to handle a greater number of innovative projects and move faster in their adoption.״

We would like to thank the government for its support and trust.
